Continuing Education in the Field of Data Management
Data, as valuable research results, require professional management. This is what “Data Stewards” are responsible for. This role is being established not only in the business world but also at research institutions in Austria and abroad as international best practice in research data management.
The certificate course "Data Steward" will start for the first time in October 2022 at the University of Vienna. This English-language continuing education and training program lasts two semesters part-time and links the latest findings on research data management, open science and open research with the tasks of data stewards. Claudia Plant, university professor and vice dean at the Faculty of Computer Science, is the scientific director.
