Study: „European Data Landscape”

The aim of the study is to gain insights and recommendations regarding open science policies and practices

The study “European Data Landscape”, initiated by the Directorate General for Research & Innovation of the European Commission, aims to provide a detailed characterisation of the research data landscape in Europe. It addresses scientists from all disciplines and includes questions about the production, consumption and depositing practices of research data. The aim is to gain valuable insights and recommendations for the implementation of open science policies and practices – for example within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

The anonymous study is carried out by the research institute Visionary Analytics in partnership with EFIS (European Future Innovation System Centre), DCC (Digital Curation Centre), and DANS (Data Archiving and Networked Services). All the collected data will be anonymised before the analysis. The results of the study will be openly accessible.
